The Sports Medicine - Marble Slab Bantam AAA Colts put together another strong weekend as they skated to 3 of 4 points as the regular season winds down.
On Saturday, the Colts hosted the Richmond Hill Coyotes and were looking for a strong performance after dropping a game to the Coyotes a month ago.
The Colts came out strong scoring the first 3 goals of the game and pushing the pace for the entire 3 periods. Parker Simpson was strong in net and although not overly busy, shut the door when called upon and the team skated to a 3-0 win.
On Sunday, the Colts hosted the ETA leading York Simcoe Express. The Express scored first after a tough fore check in the Colts zone. The Colts responded in the second and at the end of two it was 1-1.
Although the Colts continued to press the game and held a definite advantage in shots, they could not get the go ahead goal in the third and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
The Colts will host the Markham Waxers on Tuesday night, 7:40 pm at the Barrie Molson Center and then finish out regular season play on Thursday when the Peterborough Petes come to town.
