'08 Atoms Earn Way Back to OMHA Championships
This upcoming weekend, March 15-17, the Barrie Jr. Colts '08 Atom team will host the OMHA Championships at Holly Recreation Centre. This is the team's second trip to the tournament in as many years, where they look to repeat last year's performance as OMHA Champions.
The coaching staff and the team have been working towards this opportunity all season. They finished the regular season with record of 26-3-5, taking first place in the West. In the post season to date, the team is 6-0 defeating North Central Predators in the first round and Peterborough Minor Petes in the second round.
The OMHA Championship tournament runs Friday, March 15 to Sunday, March 17. The tournament consists of five teams, including your Barrie Jr. Colts '08 Atoms, Clarington Toros, Halton Hurricanes, Oakville Rangers and one final team (still to be determined at the writing of this article). Games begin Friday morning and run through the weekend.
