A message from Hugh Campbell, Chairman re Ice Scheduler Position with Barrie AAA Zone Hockey

After a long relationship with the Barrie AAA Zone, our Ice Scheduler, Lisa Scott, will be “retiring” at the end of September 2017.   On behalf of the entire Barrie AAA Zone Hockey Association, we would like to thank her for all her hard work and assistance over the years.

Accepting Applications:

With Ms. Scott’s departure we are accepting applications for the position of Ice Scheduler for Barrie AAA Zone Hockey. The successful applicant will be appointed by the Executive for the balance of 2017-18 season with the opportunity for continued employment in future seasons.   There is a nominal honorarium associated with this position (approx. $4000 per year).  This position will require a candidate with exceptional organizational skills to allocate the available ice to our 9 teams and to work with our City facilities and other AAA Centers throughout the hockey season. The position primarily requires setting up ice contracts with the City of Barrie and Town of Innisfil, attending the ETA scheduling meeting in August, coordinating with other ETA Ice Schedulers for game rescheduling and Playoff Contracts, managing available ice with the 9 teams and returning ice that is not scheduled in a timely manner and allocating ice time for practices and games with the teams as required.

For further details please contact Hugh Campbell.

Interested applicants may submit a resume by Wednesday, July 19, 2017 to the Chairman of the Barrie AAA Zone at: [email protected]
