Congratulations to our Minor Midget team for qualifying for the
2018 OHL Cup Powered by Under Armor.
The 2018 OHL Cup powered by Under Armour will feature the top 20 Minor Midget AAA teams from Ontario and the United States. The showcase will run from March 13-19, with all games being played at the Scotiabank Pond in Toronto until the Championship Final moves to the Mattamy Athletic Centre on Monday March 19 where it will be broadcasted nationally on Sportsnet.
Champions and finalists from the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL), Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA), Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario (ALLIANCE), along with representatives from Hockey Northwestern Ontario (HNO), and the Northern Ontario Hockey Association (NOHA) will compete along with two representatives from the United States. The season there will not be a representative from Hockey Eastern Ontario (HEO).
Our Barrie Colts played game 1 of the showcase last night against the Toronto Jr. Canadiens resulting in a 2-2 finish after Cameron Snow scored with 2:10 remaining in the third. Check out Gene Pereira recap of the game.
