2021 OHL Priority Selection
Although the 2020-2021 season was different and not what we hoped for, the annual OHL drafts went forward and the Barrie AAA Colts have lots to celebrate!

We are very proud to announce the following Minor Midget Barrie AAA Colts were selected in this year's OHL Priority Selection (Draft):

  • Rd. 3 – 51 pick to Kitchener - Cameron Mercer
  • Rd. 4- 63 pick to Barrie – Nicholas Lamont
  • Rd. 5- 85 pick to Niagara - Jax Wismer
  • Rd. 5- 91 pick to Ottawa - Gavin Ewles
  • Rd. 6- 117 pick to Guelph - Aidan Amidovski
  • Rd. 7- 125 pick to Peterborough - Sam McCue
  • Rd. 9-160 pick to Sudbury - Noah Cochrane

We are also very proud to announce that Midget Barrie AAA Colt, Owen Johnston, was selected 23rd (2nd round) by Oshawa in the OHL Under 18 Priority Selection (Draft).

Congratulations to these young men, their families, and the coaching staff!

And to those Barrie AAA Colts that were not drafted...remember to continue to work hard, put forth your best effort both on and off the ice.  Your goal may remain the same, but the path has changed slightly.  Or perhaps it’s time to set yourself some new goals.  Either way, the lessons you have learned with the Barrie AAA Colts will carry forward.

Good luck boys! Make us proud!
