2026-2027 - Coach Application

The Barrie AAA Zone Hockey Association Coach Selection Committee will evaluate all applications. Only applicants evaluated as suitable candidates by the committee will be offered an interview. Interviews, if offered, will begin in December 2025.  

• Applicants must hold a current and valid OMHA recognized hockey coaching certificate.
• The selection process and interviews will be conducted by the Coach Selection Committee
• Applicant’s name will be divulged to Association Executive and Coach Selection Committee members.
• All successful applicants must be able to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check to OHF and be willing to commit to the entire season upon acceptance of the team. Entire season includes other vital and necessary activities such as tryouts and August practices (specific time frames to be determined).
• All Applicants for U14 and above must be HP1 trained or certified prior to the season start in September 2026.
• All Applicants should also attach a Hockey Resume.
• All Applicants with a child that is an immediate family member that would like to attend their age group tryouts must supply 3 (three) player skill references with their application. This form is located on our website under Documents/Hockey Op and is named 'Player Evaluation Chart' (appropriate for both players and goalies).   
• “Out of Zone” applicants will only be considered for an interview if there is no suitable 'In Zone' applicants.
• The Barrie AAA ZONE reserves the right to place suitable applicants in appropriate positions. 

This content of this application is confidential when completed and will only be shared with the Coach Selection Committee.

Suitable applicants will be contacted in early December if they are invited to an interview.

Vulnerable Sector Check

All Vulnerable Sector Checks will be conducted by the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) for all Team Officials and Team Personnel every season to.

I, the applicant, hereby agree that if selected, I will conduct my duties as a Coach/Assistant Coach with the Barrie AAA Zone Hockey Association and follow all policies, regulations, fair play codes and procedures as laid out by Hockey Canada, Ontario Hockey Federation, Ontario Minor Hockey Association and the Barrie AAA Zone Hockey Association at all times.

 

I, the applicant, hereby warrant that I will disclose all relevant personal information as required by the Barrie AAA ZONE. 

Authorization for Collection of Personal Information: I, the applicant, hereby authorize the Barrie AAA Zone Hockey Association to collect personal information appropriate to the position applied for from the references provided.
