PowerPlayer is a simple but sophisticated, low-cost system that provides athletes, parents, coaches, governing bodies and other key stakeholders in the athletic eco-system a breadth and depth of knowledge that does not currently exist. PowerPlayer gives athletes (and parents, coaches, clubs and organizations, governing bodies, scouts and recruiters) tools to capture and selectively share a long-term, comprehensive record of their progress through their sport. By collecting qualitative and quantitative data across a wide range of dimensions from hundreds and hundreds of interactions over many years, PowerPlayer will paint a rich, deep and true picture of an athlete. And the aggregate data the system collects will also paint a picture of the coaches, clubs, organizations and governing bodies that those athletes are shaped by. PowerPlayer is a data aggregation system. PowerPlayer is designed to collect data from a wide range of distributed sources – coaches, instructors, third-party devices, scouts, etc. – over time. PowerPlayer is designed to benefit athletes first. PowerPlayer data is visible and beneficial to the individuals who are being assessed. And the athlete’s data stays and grows with them – from team to team and year to year. PowerPlayer is a permission-based system. No individual or organization can access an individual’s account (to either read or write data) unless granted permission by that individual or by that individual’s parent or legal guardian. ×
