Atoms Win Junior Canadians’ Cup
The Barrie Jr. Colts ‘08 Atom AAA team have begun their season and look to defend their title of OMHA Champions. They recently participated in the Junior Canadian’s Cup in Toronto (September 28-30).
The team progressed well through the weekend and finished the tournament with a 5-1-0 record. Their hard work and resilience culminated with the opportunity to compete in the final, Sunday afternoon, against the tournament host, Junior Canadians (GTHL). Again, a total team effort was made, and the boys won with a convincing 8-4 victory over JRC. Kaidan Smyth was awarded tournament’s top goalie. The team’s focus has now shifted back to the regular season where they will look to continue building on their strong team play.
