Barrie Colts Minor Midget AAA team continues theme of community involvement.
The Barrie Colts Minor Midget AAA team continued to show their involvement with the community this month by assisting with Breast Cancer Awareness and raising funds to assist with research.
The Barrie Colts wore pink jerseys for two homes games during the month of October to raise awareness to Breast Cancer. The entire team helped out on and off the ice as team parents donated time to assist with the collection of donations at the games.
Almost $400 will be donated on behalf of the players to the Canadian Breast Cancer Association and the Colts would like to thank you for your support.
The Colts skated to 6-2 and 3-2 wins over Central Ontario and the Markham Waxers while wearing the pink, we may have to consider them the next time we head south to SAC :)
The Colts are back in action this Saturday when they travel to Richmond Hill to play the Coyotes in the first of 4 meetings this season.
