The Marble Slab - Sports Medicine Bantam AAA Colts team defence came up big again last night as the Colts shutout the Peterborough Petes to finish off regular season play.
The Colts came out of the gate a little slow last night finishing off a stretch of 4 games in 6 nights but the Colts managed the game well until finding the back of the Petes net.
The Colts scored the first goal of the game in the second period when Rhys Brown scored what turned out to be the game winner off of a great face off win by Barret Kirwin.
The Colts added two more in the third, including an empty netter, helping Jacob Ingham to another shutout win.
The Colts will finish the regular season second in the west conference of the ETA with the lowest goals against in the league, something the team has worked hard on all year.
The Colts will face the North Central Predators in the first round of the OMHA play downs, a series which promises to be a great display of Bantam AAA hockey as the teams match up very well.
